A side business could include reviewing resumes for students who are about to graduate.
*Write online – Many individuals and companies are looking for copy to use on their own blogs or web sites and are willing to pay for it. Several web sites have been created that can connect writers with clients seeking articles written on particular topics. Other sites allow writers to pick the topics they want to cover and post them online. They then get paid based on the amount of visitors the article receives.
*Freelance web design – For those who are studying web design in school, they may be able to secure some freelance work setting up and running web sites for friends or companies. This not only allows them to get paid for what they are studying, but the student is also creating a portfolio they can use later to show potential employers.
*Tutor others – If a student excels at a particular subject, they may be able to help others who are struggling. Today’s technology eliminates the need to waste time traveling to tutor someone else. By setting up a Skype account, a student can tutor others in their college or those around the country.
The Internet has a world of possibilities available to college students looking to earn a little spending money by using their skills. Unlike a traditional student job, working online often has the advantage of being able to cater to the student’s schedule, allowing them to still concentrate on their studies and succeeding in school.
