Do you find yourself scurrying around the house and looking under the sofa for spare pennies? Are you trying to make that final dollar for a new pair of shoes or a trip to the theatre? If this is you, you’re in need of a money plan, something that gives you the extra cash to do with as you please.
The first thing you could consider doing is putting aside a little money each month when your pay check comes through. This doesn’t have to be much; it could be as little as $5. Try putting it into a savings account so that you don’t spend the money you want to save accidently.
Have you ever rooted through your purse or your pockets and found a load of change in pennies? I don’t know anybody who hasn’t and I can almost guarantee that every person who has done has either given their pennies away, thrown them in a magic fountain or thrown them onto the floor. Next time you think about doing one of those things refrain from doing so and keep them until you return home. Find yourself a large jar or money pot and put all of your pennies into it. Over time your penny jar will increase and you will be on the path to making pennies make dollars.
We all have habits we could do without like biting our nails and grinding our teeth. Although these habits aren’t good for your health they don’t cost us anything. Habits such as smoking and drinking however do and can put a rather large dent in your wallet. Try cutting down on your habits or stopping them completely. You will be amazed at how much money you can save. The average cost for a pack of cigarettes in America is around $5.50. If you buy on average four boxes of cigarettes a week 12 months a year you are spending a staggering $1,144 on cigarettes alone. If you halved the amount you smoked you would save $572 dollars a year that you could use towards a holiday or a new car.
Another problem many people have is keeping everything they have bought such as clothes, DVD’s, games, jewellery etc. There comes a point where you decide enough is enough and have a large clear out resulting in most thing being binned. Next time you have a clear out have a look at your items and decide whether or not you could put them up for sale on eBay. This is an excellent way of making money and will help towards your end of year holiday.
There are many other ways of making some extra cash without having to take on a new job. Be imaginative and consider your options.
Remember pennies make dollars!!
